A full day of gymkhana competition at the spiritual home of Formula G, the world-famous Santa Pod! After a morning of practicing the layout, you will then have 4 attempts - 2 on each side - to set the best qualifying time possible. Your time will determine your opponent in the battles, where you will race until you are knocked out or take the top step of the podium. There’s only one way to find out if you will be triumphant!
Schedule:
8.30am - Signing on. If it’s your first time, you will also receive your Championship stickers and number. Bring your drivers license and MSUK license!
9:00am - Drivers briefing. We’ll talk you through the day, and let you know of any important information you might need to know.
9:15am - Track walk. It’s imperative you learn the track, and learn it quickly! Walking the track is a great way to do this.
9:30am - Track opens for practice. You’ll have until lunch to fit in as many runs as you need to master the course. Don’t forget to practice on both sides!
12:00 - Lunch break. Take a well earned break and chat with your fellow competitors!
1:00pm - Qualifying session. You’ll have 4 runs, 2 on each side, to set the fastest time you can. The fastest time will be your qualifying time, and determine your opponent in battles.
2:30pm (ish) - Battles. Each battle consists of two runs - one on each side - and the fastest combined time will be the victor and go through to the next round. We battle until only two remain - the final battle determines the winner! There will also be a battle for third.
4:30pm (ish) - Podiums. We congratulate the winners and present them with their prize. If there’s any time left before the track closes, we’ll open it up for some more fun.
Entry fee is £150. You must be a member of Club Formula G to compete, sign up for all the latest updates and to enter races.
