Learn to Gymkhana! is back… A whole day of learning how to gymkhana, with tuition from seasoned competitors and a little bit of competition, too! The perfect introduction to Formula G.

What to expect

Doing something like this for the first time can be nerve-wracking! So that you feel as prepared as you possibly can on arrival, a week or so before the day we’ll host a webinar where we’ll give you a detailed introduction to the sport, the Championship, and what to expect on the day.

On arrival at Brands Hatch, we’ll get you parked up and briefed on the day. Our friendly helpers will be on hand to give you hints and tips on last minute preparation, so that you have the best chance of a full day of fun!

Before you head out to learn the course, our seasoned veterans will give you a quick demo of what you need to be aiming for. This is also a great way to learn the course. Then it will be time to grab an instructor and head out on track. You’ll have until lunchtime to make the most of their wisdom!

After a lunch break, there will be a little more practice - but this time you’re on your own. Our instructors will be ‘spotting’ though, and will give you pointers when you get back to the pit after a run.

Later in the afternoon, we’ll take a short break to prepare for our Fastest Time of the Day competition. This will be run in a similar format to the qualifying session in the Championship rounds - you’ll have four runs, two on each side of the course, to set the fastest time you can. What do you need?

A helmet, a car, and an RS Clubman license, which is free. That’s it! If you have a modified car, we do also ask that you also have a handheld fire extinguisher securely mounted within reach. Otherwise, the usual regulations apply, and you can read them here.
